I Met A Man Today

I met a man today, A man who walked every mile in my shoes
A man who walked and talked
And felt the agony, pain and despair.
Because the man I met today was there.
When the rockets flared and bombs burst in the air,
The man I met today, he was there.
Right or wrong he had a song
But some men didn't care.
Why ? Because they weren't there.
But the man I met today,
Despite the pain,
He grew in love, wisdom and life,
And the fellowship of Brotherhood.
He knew, the man I met today,
Everything that causes the strife within his life,
My Vietnam combat Brother,
The man I met today,
This man is you!

Steven Ray Moon.

I would like to dedicate this to my friend Steven Moon. I'm sorry to
say that he passed away in his home on August 25th. He was a
good friend to all that knew him and a loving friend and devoted
father and husband. He lived out his life in Carmen Idaho.
